Getting Over Brand Values

Any HR Professional is bound to have on an organisation’s brand / vision / mission / values / culture etc on their mind. A good old purpose statement defining what we do and why.
The ‘guardrails’ of change are worth exploring: what we want and don’t want. But rarely do we tackle the above using the latter. Luckily for me I was perusing a bit of outdoor clothing and I came across this statement from Buffalo…
How refreshing and bold to define both angles. A few clicks in and the story was only strengthened. It turns out they don’t make, they craft; “we don’t make outdoor gear. We craft products for the wild”. Furthermore, they are proud about their place (Sheffield, UK) and their founder.
