Why meditation is linked to high performance

Written by Stuart Haden on July 28, 2015

Last week I talked about the importance of reading if we are to achieve optimal performance, so it’s time for my second top tip that will deliver improved results. I am always downloading podcasts (Tim Ferriss, Bulletproof Radio and Tony Wrighton) on the subject of high performance. Not only is it a great use of my time (particularly whist I am travelling), but it keeps me on the edge of what I need to deliver to my clients. By my estimations over 80% of the top

Perform to the highest levels using this top tip

Written by Stuart Haden on July 21, 2015

During the course of the last year I have been busy devouring the literature (Tim Ferriss, The Flow Genome Project, Bulletproof Radio and Tony Wrighton) on optimal performance. After all once you’ve stripped everything away that’s what personal development actually comes down to. Any coach or facilitator who is worth their salt must deliver on this level. The inputs are important but they are worth nothing if the outcome is not achieved.

So what can you do to perform optimally. Well for the

This time last year I published my first online course – The Art of Leadership & Coaching. The guys at Udemy (Learn from the Worlds Experts) are now

How to eat authentically and avoid being deceived

Written by Stuart Haden on July 7, 2015

I work with individuals, teams and organisations so that they can develop optimal performance (flow states) and be up to 500% more effective. Very often the topics of exercise, sleep and nutrition come up. Of course when we consider the latter natural foods need to be introduced whenever you can. The trouble is so many food manufacturers crave profit more so than transparency. A cheap product = high profits = huge marketing campaigns = a lack of transparency como consumir viagra.  A product

Sitting is the new smoking

Written by Stuart Haden on June 30, 2015

I often ask executives, ‘what is the secret to performing optimally?’ “It’s the fags Stuart, you know 20 a day keeps me focussed and alert. The more the better, I can’t recommend them highly enough.” Of course I’ve never had this answer. Equally I haven’t heard one high performer cite sitting as their secret weapon. So if you are reading this sitting down then please stand up, at least for the next couple or so minutes that it takes to

Where is your place of power?

Written by Stuart Haden on June 23, 2015

I named my business after a place, a place that has power. On one hand a mere beach, on the other more of a temple in which to contemplate life. The place of power, the power of place, was of course a storm beach, Pwll Du Bay on the Gower Peninsula, UK.

Sometimes I visited with friends, although mostly alone I would walk the beach. In the mid 90’s poignant songs flowing from my Sony Disc Man. Nothing Compares to

Free book and online course from Brendon Burchard

Written by Stuart Haden on June 16, 2015

Brendon Burchard has really inspired me over the years. He is a great role model for anybody who wants to set up their own business, particularly if like me you are a coach and facilitator. Equally his books are cutting edge in the field of personal development. His latest achievement The Motivation Manifesto is not only a cracking read, but it is also an absolute steal! This will sound too good to be true but trust me you can get a hardcover

Be Authentic by Completing a Work In, not a Work Out

Written by Stuart Haden on June 12, 2015

By turning a well know phrase on its head (work out) we can focus on what it takes to be more authentic – a work in. Yes the Western working world all too often rewards us (real or perceived) for what we show to others. But often it’s the improvements you make behind that scenes that really matter.

Lifehacker UK were kind enough to publish my recent article titled – Be Authentic by Completing a Work In, not a Work Out. The essence of

Introducing – The Art of Possibility by Zander & Zander

Written by Stuart Haden on June 2, 2015

If you are operating as a coach then somewhere along your journey you will need to define your approach. Influenced by ontological coaching on the one hand this book kick started my  approach to narrative coaching. Zander and Zander quickly remind us that “all of life comes to us in narrative form; it’s a story we tell.” It’s all invented so you might as well step into the universe of possibility.

Perhaps more philosophical than practical the authors weave a wonderful

Introducing – Masterful Coaching by Robert Hargrove

Written by Stuart Haden on May 26, 2015

This is a seminal book on coaching, it’s been over 10 years since I first read Masterful Coaching but it remains a tour de force despite so many publications since. I am indebted to Robert for endorsing my book, however, the greatest gift he gave me was the energy and guidance for coaching when I set out with his book tucked under my arm during my coach training days.

Supported by maps and case studies prepare yourself for – impossible
