Introducing Why Should Anyone Work Here? By Goffee and Jones

Written by Stuart Haden on March 29, 2017

Authenticity is a short cut to flow and optimal performance. Goffee and Jones’s book (Why Should Anyone Be Led By You?) was a game changer, and they’ve done it again. Authenticity again to the fore, wonderfully described, expressing your values skilfully.

This book is worth its money alone for the question it poses. Turning traditional views on its head – why should anyone work here? In the changing world of work; think gig economy, this is a question that people are

How do you find your creative spark?

Written by Stuart Haden on March 17, 2017

If these postings encourage you to describe flow as your favourite 4 letter F word then my work here is done. Fire has to be up there as well, primordial, life saving and relaxing. The fire triangle describes the need for fuel, oxygen and a spark.

Likewise the ‘flow triangle’ requires mindset, environment and a group. Take one away and you’ll struggle to create anything. Wet matches in the wind.

But if you engineer these three principles you’ll find your creative spark.

Dignity – are you being valued and respected?

Written by Stuart Haden on March 1, 2017

Making our values valuable is a classic shortcut to optimal performance. Dignity would no doubt register on many people’s radars, but have you ever considered what it means to you? Of course it will mean different things to different people; perhaps trust, respect and being listened to will shed some light on the subject.

A proactive and positive approach to relationships, respecting values/attitudes/beliefs. A reactive approach to curbing unacceptable behaviours – discrimination, bullying or harassment. Even just not being listened to

Diagnosing flow – how much flow do you have? Part 2

Written by Stuart Haden on December 21, 2016

In my last posting I shared the diagnostic from the <a href="http://www viagra gratis.flowgenomeproject.com”>Flow Genome Project, that helps you to ascertain how you find flow. This is often a natural starting point in our coaching programmes. However, you need to be asking yourself at least one follow up question. How much flow do you have?

Using a diagnostic that we have developed we can quickly represent your potential to find flow as a percentage. For further insight we can also group

Diagnosing flow – how do you find it? Part 1

Written by Stuart Haden on December 7, 2016

We all find flow in different ways. Uniquely entering into a flow state, what works for one might not work for another. To help navigate these waters the Flow Genome Project have developed a very short diagnostic so that you can recognize what will work best for you. Of course 1 of the 4 approaches will dominate, but remember we are a combination of all 4. Putting our bodies on the line one minute, deeply engrossed in conversation in the

Positive psychology – what can go right?

Written by Stuart Haden on November 23, 2016

Martin Seligman is commonly known as the founder of positive psychology viagra generico sin receta. He created a ‘positive’ counterpart to mental disorders. Rather than looking at what can go wrong; his work around characters, strengths and virtues is designed to look at what can go right. In his research he looked across cultures and millennia to attempt to distill a manageable list of virtues that have been highly valued from ancient China and India, through Greece and Rome, to

The law of attraction – how can you make it work?

Written by Stuart Haden on November 16, 2016

For years I have been fascinated by the law of attraction. The well known book The Secret and the film What the Bleep Do We Know!? got me further down the rabbit hole. Meanwhile Lynne McTaggart helped me keep my head as I discovered the science of entanglement. When I connected these two dots…the new age woo woo with the hard evidence I was hooked. But…and there is a big but, I couldn’t seem to harness this powerful energy.

Sure I noticed greater synchronicity

How to be a high performance leader

Written by Stuart Haden on November 9, 2016

Every individual wants to understand how to be at their best more often. Although sometimes they are afraid to admit it. A corporate athlete, aiming for personal bests – managing their energy not their time. If the wi-fi signal permits I’ll be sharing this posting with you on route to the CIPD’s Annual Conference and Exhibition. By UK standards it is probably the biggest gathering of these corporate athletes.

I am lucky enough to be presenting this year, hoping to bring these athletes

How to hack coaching content for optimal performance

Written by Stuart Haden on November 2, 2016

Coaching is merely an input, the main prize lies with performance. How can we develop optimal performance via coaching? This is why every coaching programme needs direction, evidence, science, intention, authenticity, readiness, energy, assessment and sustainability. This is a new paradigm of learning because we focus on state, not skills development. The development of state is universal, whereas the development of skills is dependent on individual needs and competence. It can be hit and miss at best. One’s state is the ‘on ramp’ to

How to hack coaching for optimal performance

Written by Stuart Haden on October 26, 2016

Here’s the bad news – most coaching programmes are not delivering their full potential. At worst coaching is broken. But the good news is we can fix that, as long as we are willing to disrupt traditional thinking. Probably challenging our own thinking along the way. The process of coaching has developed into a procession. One that doesn’t make sense – expensive and time consuming.

In this short video I present my ideas for hacking the process so that we can
